Service Update: Bag Weight Guidelines for Laundry Whips Customers
At Laundry Whips, we’re all about making laundry day easy, affordable, and hassle-free! To help keep things running smoothly for everyone, we want to clarify an important update to our bag guidelines.
Here’s what to know:
→ Laundry should be placed in standard 13-gallon kitchen bags for pickup.
→ Each bag has a weight limit of 17 pounds.
We’ve recently seen some ultra-stretchy “flex” bags being packed beyond that limit — and while we love saving you money, bags over 17 pounds can cause issues during handling, cleaning, and transport.
What happens if a bag exceeds 17 pounds?
If a bag goes over the 17-pound limit, it will simply count as two bags, and an additional charge will apply.
This helps us continue providing fast, reliable service — and it’s still a huge value compared to laundromat drop-off pricing (which averages $2.00 per pound). With Laundry Whips, most loads come out to about $1.70 per pound — picked up, washed, folded, and delivered right to your door!
A Quick Tip to Save:
→ A standard 13-gallon bag filled comfortably (without overstuffing or stretching) usually falls right in the sweet spot under 17 pounds.
We appreciate everyone’s help in keeping our service efficient, affordable, and awesome for all!
Thank you for being a part of the Laundry Whips family!
